Show HN: Pokemon Emerald Emulator http://ift.tt/2hJZ3P8

Show HN: Pokemon Emerald Emulator Hi there, this is a toy project I worked on for the past months. It's an early stage pokemon emerald emulator. Maps, tiles, animations, warps, sprites etc. are extracted from the provided ROM file. There is a online demo [0]. After dragging a ROM file into the browser window, you can walk and explore the complete pokemon emerald world. The game engine is created only for testing purposes, you will encounter a zillion bugs. If you don't have a ROM file on hand (Attention, large GIFs): - Warps: http://ift.tt/2h2ID0p - Behaviors: http://ift.tt/2ivCCd7 - Zooming: http://ift.tt/2h3F7mw - World Map: http://ift.tt/2iuJKq1 [0] http://ift.tt/2yu6a5H November 18, 2017 at 09:44PM

Show HN: Zalando checkout proces is broken beyond repair http://ift.tt/2yw5wAx

Show HN: Zalando checkout proces is broken beyond repair I had to share this : I am trying to order some clothing from https://Zalando.com ( big in Europe ) and I can't complete the checkout proces. The shipping address form is faulty and is throwing JS errors. Can't continue. So I call customer support, they are aware of it, the workaround is to go to your profile and add a shipping address there. The issue has been known for a couple of weeks now. I find it hilarious to find such an error on a website from such a big brandname. November 13, 2017 at 04:38PM

Show HN: I Made a Massively Multiplayer Board Game to Test Django Channels http://ift.tt/2AzjNhp

Show HN: I Made a Massively Multiplayer Board Game to Test Django Channels http://codewords.io/ I've been trying to get permission to run a game of it from the publisher and designer (CGE & Vlaada Chvátil) but I haven't heard back. I've found demonstrating that there's interest in what you're doing is the best way to get ahold of people. So.. Anyone interested in trying a massive game of Codenames over Twitch? Not quite "For Science!" more "For Engineering!" Which, let's be honest here, has a much better ring to it. If you'd like to know more, I put up an FAQ up here: http://ift.tt/2AAni6W If you'd like to sign up to help, there's a form over there: http://codewords.io/ Screenshots and a game play overview can be found somewhere under this: http://ift.tt/2jhhcnO November 11, 2017 at 02:35AM

Show HN: New AI Grant Fellows http://ift.tt/2z6dFz2

Show HN: New AI Grant Fellows Hi HN, A few months ago, we announced our AI Grant project. We give $2,500 in cash and $20,000 in GPU training credits to anyone who wants to work on AI research. Today, we're excited to announce our second batch of Fellows! We were flooded with nearly 1,000 applications. Topics were diverse: robotics, NLP, biology, tooling, physics, dataset acquisition, fundamental research and more. The applicants were also diverse, spanning from world-class Google researchers to high school students. Check out http://ift.tt/2z5O72O for an overview of the 20 new Fellows. Einstein was a patent clerk. In Bern. The weirdest and best research ideas often come from outsiders. Our goal is to find and fund their work. What should we add to our program to improve it? Thanks! - Daniel Gross & Nat Friedman. P.S. I'm a partner at YC. This is Nat's and my side project, not a YC effort. November 2, 2017 at 05:32AM
